For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given; and the government shall be upon His shoulders, and His name shall be called  Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Our Father has given to us Himself, in the person of His Son Jesus Christ! Have you received His Amazing Gift into your heart? And, are you allowing His Amazing Gift to live His Life in you and through you?

We discovered in our last blog that our Lord Jesus Christ is a Wonderful Counselor who is attentive to all of our needs. He understands our weaknesses and frailty as human beings. But, He also came to BE whatever we need Him to be in our struggles. Greater than being our Wonderful Counselor, living within us, He is our Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace!

OUR MIGHTY GOD

Most of us in our day to day experiences keep Jesus, the Mighty God at a distance, up in the heavens somewhere. The truth be told, there is no place He isn’t; His joy and pleasure are to rule and reign within our hearts and to prove to us who He really is… Our Mighty God! What does the title mean to be Mighty? The word describes Jesus within us as being, strong, powerful, courageous, brave, never flinching from difficulties, valiant, warrior, and champion of every battle He fights. Because He lives within us, He has made us more than conquerors as we experience His Life, by faith, we will experience one victory after victory!

OUR EVERLASTING FATHER

Jesus Christ came to us as a Son but drawing His essence and Life from His Eternal Father, living within Him. He said, “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you I do not say on My own initiative or authority, but the Father, abiding continually in Me, does His works [His attesting miracles and acts of power].” John 14:10.

Jesus Christ cares for us like a father with his children, gently and tenderly.  His Life is Everlasting, He has no beginning and no end, lives on forever and ever. The Life of Christ within us is Everlasting and Eternal… never changing!

OUR PRINCE OF PEACE – BE STILL!

Jesus lives within us a Prince, commander, general, ruler, leader, elder, captain, chief, overseer, and the governor over everything and everyone. We can’t limit His power but we can doubt His capabilities in our lives.

He is the Prince of Peace over all chaos, darkness, turmoil, confusion, worry, and anxiety because He Is Our Peace! What does the Prince of Peace do? When we turn to Him within us:

• He stills the raging thoughts and emotions in our souls.
• He brings us to Himself and lays us down beside quiet waters to refresh us.
• He makes us feel safe when darkness appears to overtake us.
• He causes us to rest when we are weary or burdened down.
• He tears down walls that separate us from Him and others. He ends all divisions.
• He gives us favor with our enemies and those who wish us harm.
• He guides our souls through confusion and difficulties.

Because Jesus Christ IS The Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace, He rules and governs the universe and wants to do the same in our lives, if we would only believe Him!

Thank you, Father, for the Eternal Gift You gave to live in our hearts, Jesus Christ the Lord of Heaven and Earth! May we allow Your Precious Son to live freely through us today and every day as You designed Him to… as it is in the heavenly realm, let it be within our earth. Amen
