LET THE SON SHINE IN – “The Door”
In Biblical times shepherds built corrals to guard and protect their sheep from predators. The shepherds sat at the opening of the corral. During the daytime, they led their sheep out through the gates of the corrals also known as “doors” to lush green pastures to feed and groom them. The shepherds knew each one personally and often gave them names.
Often while the sheep were out grazing in the pastures, they wandered away from the flock and their shepherds; they searched for greener pastures. Sheep also wandered because it was their nature to do so. But, no matter how far they went, their shepherds knew exactly where they were and would leave their flock to go bring the lost sheep back home.
There are many doors of opportunities in our life but they don’t always lead to peace, freedom, or rest. Many doors we open appear to bring prosperity or reward but we end up experiencing sadness, worry, anxiety, disappointment, pain, and regret. We often feel lost, alone, isolated, and stuck. How do we enjoy peace and safety in our lives once again?
Our Father made life very simple for us wandering sheep by giving us His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ to be the ONLY DOOR in Life that leads to peace, freedom, and rest for our weary souls when we turn to Him
NOTHING AND NO ONE CAN ENTER THROUGH THE DOOR WITHOUT THE PIERCING EYES OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD!
So Jesus said again, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, I am The Door for the sheep [leading to life]. 8 All who came before Me [as false messiahs and self-appointed leaders] are thieves and robbers, but the [true] sheep did not hear them. 9 I am The Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved [and will live forever], and will go in and out [freely], and find pasture (spiritual security, peace, joy, and rest). 10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. John 10:7-10 Amplified
Remember: When we turn inwardly to the Lord who lives within us, we will find, peace, freedom, rest, and guidance through the darkness around us.
