Father, thank You for the Gift of Mothers!

 

They are the kisses from Your sweet lips.

They reflect the kindness and gentleness of Your face,

And the strength of Your Amazing Grace.

 

They are the teachers that guide our way.

They pray for us when we go astray.

Their love for us never wanes.

Even when they are tired or under strain.

 

Some of our mothers are so loving, gentle, and kind,

While others left us broken, which wasn’t Your design.

Father, heal and restore the room of our hearts where our mothers live.

With Your love and grace which only You can give.

 

Some of our mothers have gone home to be with You,

For that reason, some of us feel blue. 

So, there is an emptiness in our hearts only you can fill.

And in Your time and way we know, You will.

 

For those of us whose mother is still alive,

I pray your day is filled with love, laughter, and our Father’s peace.

And each moment spent with your loved ones may it be sweet.

We must always remember, mothers, are only human and on life’s journey too.

To discover who they are and experience the Truth.

Forgiveness is a gift we must give to them each day,

If they should stumble or lose their way.
