KNOWING EACH OTHER BY THE SPIRIT (Reminder 4)
So, from now on we regard no one from a human point of view [according to worldly standards and values]. Though we have known Christ from a human point of view, now we no longer know Him in this way.
2 Corinthians 5:16 (Amplified)
I recently went to San Antonio to attend a baby shower; however, the Lord had a different plan. On the day of the baby shower, the mother-to-be was not feeling well and went to the hospital. She tested positive for COVID 19. That was impeccable timing of the Lord! Had she waited, everyone who would have attended the baby shower might have been affected. The food we prepared for the baby shower allowed Sonia, her husband, Jacob, and I to enjoy a wonderful fellowship together without having to cook each day. We all had mild symptoms, but by our Lord’s grace, we tested negative for COVID.
You may recall Sonia from my blog in 2021; we prayed for Sonia, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. Please read her story. https://hispreciousgift.com/wordpress/?s=Jesus+I+belong+to+you
Here she is today, doing excellent and Cancer Free!
What an incredible time we had together! Sonia and I reflected on our 42-year journey with our Lord and walk together. We laughed, cried, and rejoiced at the “Goodness of our Father and Lord.”
One of our conversations with Sonia was about our identity based on what we have learned from the world versus who our Father says we are. As I reflected on our conversations, here are some of my thoughts.
I learned about personality types and temperaments over the years of studying psychology, sociology, and taking several assessments. It was exciting to understand how we are all wired differently and how people react and respond in numerous ways. From a natural perspective, these assessments were helpful for me. I discovered I am a:
- Sanguine – The Sanguine personality is curious, creative, spontaneous, impulsive, goal-oriented, optimistic, and cheerful. A sanguine can talk to new friends like they have known them for a long time.
- ENFJ – Myers-Briggs Assessment defines me as (Extroverted, Intuitive, Feeler, Judgement). ENFJs are highly creative people in resolving human challenges. Their empathetic and compassionate behavior makes them perfect for finding solutions in a humanitarian way. The extreme intuitiveness in them allows them to develop strategies for helping other individuals in taking positive decisions in their life.
- Blue – True Colors Assessment describes me as empathetic, compassionate, and cooperative. “Blues” tend to be very social people. If you are a Blue, you value relationships and harmony. Genuine kindness, sincerity, and compassion are vital to you. You enjoy opportunities to work with others and collaborate and any opportunity to develop a connection.
- Scorpio – Astrological Signs. I used to be addicted to Astrology and the Zodiac signs. The stars said Scorpios are famously discreet and even secretive, with an air of mystery around them. Other personality traits include fearlessness, boldness (thanks to Mars), passion, creativity, and fierce loyalty. And, because I believed in Astrology, I lived the lies it told me each day.
- Diva – Diva has come to describe someone acting entitled or holier than thou. A person who acts like the world revolves around her is a diva. If you walk into a packed restaurant and demand the best table snapping, “Don’t you know who I am?” well, that’s diva behavior. Webster defines a diva as a self-important person who is temperamental and difficult to please (typically used of a woman).
- Queen – This is the “New Brand” some women wear to represent our connection to royalty through our African heritage. Those in Christ are Princesses because we are the Bride of Christ, The Prince of Peace.
These descriptions and so many more may be accurate in the flesh; however, they are not THE TRUTH of WHO WE ARE. They all sound good, but they do not originate from THE TRUTH and the TREE OF LIFE found in Jesus Christ. If I have given my life to Christ, I live in the Kingdom of God, and if I have not, I still live in the Kingdom of Darkness ruled by Satan.
Below is a shortlist of my TRUE IDENTITY IN CHRIST. And because I believe who my Father says I am, I act and respond to the TRUTH of who I REALLY AM.

John 1:12 – Tresca is God’s daughter.
Tresca received Him, and to Tresca, He gave the right to become God’s daughter because Tresca believes in His name.
John 15:5 -Tresca is a part of the true vine and a channel of Christ’s life.
I am the vine. Tresca is a branch. Tresca remains in Me, and I in her she will bear much fruit, for apart from Me, Tresca can do nothing.
John 15:9 – Tresca is deeply loved.
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you, Tresca. Now remain in my love.”
John 15:15 – Tresca is a friend of Christ.
I no longer call Tresca a servant, for a servant does not know what her Lord does. But I have called Tresca a friend, for everything I heard from My Father, I have made known to Tresca.
Romans 8:17 -Tresca is a joint heir with Christ, and she shares Christ’s inheritance with Him.
And if a daughter, then an heir; an heir of God, and a joint heir with Christ; as Tresca suffers with Him, Tresca will also be glorified with Him.
I Corinthians 3:16 -Tresca is God’s temple.
Don’t you know that Tresca is a temple of God and that God’s Spirit lives in her?
Ephesians 1:11 -Tresca has an inheritance in Christ.
In Him, Tresca was also assigned an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose, who works all things after the counsel of His will.
Ephesians 2:5-6 – Tresca has been made alive with Christ, and she is seated with Christ in the heavenly places, now.
Even when Tresca was dead in her trespasses, God made her alive together with Christ (by grace, Tresca has been saved), and raised Tresca up with Him and made Tresca to sit with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 1:27 – Christ Himself Lives in Tresca.
To whom God was pleased to make known what the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles are, which is Christ In Tresca, the hope of glory.
Colossians 3:3 – Tresca’s life is hidden with Christ in God.
For Tresca died, and her life is hidden with Christ in God.
Ephesians 3:12 -Tresca may approach God with boldness and confidence.
In whom Tresca has boldness and confident access through her faith in Him.
Colossians 1:13-14 – Tresca has been rescued from the domain of Satan’s rule and transferred to the kingdom of Christ. The Father delivered Tresca out of the power of darkness and translated her into the kingdom of the Son of His love.
Romans 8:37 – Tresca is more than a conqueror in Christ.
No, in all these things, Tresca is more than a conqueror through Him who loved her.
II Corinthians 2:14 – Tresca is led triumphantly by Christ.
But thanks be to God, who always leads Tresca in triumph in Christ and reveals through Tresca the sweet aroma of His knowledge in every place.
Colossians 2:10 – Tresca has been made complete in Christ.
And in Him, Tresca is made complete, the head of all principality and power.
In conclusion, we are more than our temperaments, traits, or personalities identified by natural means. We live in the Kingdom of God. We know each other never again after the flesh but by our TRUE IDENTITY, in the Spirit.
Enjoy Christ, Enjoy Life!

This is so good, Tresca. What a great thing to compare your worldly identity in contrast to your heavenly identity in Christ. Thanks so much!!! LOVE, dear sis!
Thank you!
