IN THE EYE OF EVERY STORM…I AM
I had bobblehead (brain depression issues due to rainy overcast weather) most of the week, so this week’s blog is short and sweet. Our Father has just two words to share… I AM! What do these two words mean to you? They mean a million zillion things to me as I have journeyed with my Father and Lord over 40 years. I discovered so many awesome things about our Father who first told Moses in Exodus Chapter 3 verses 12-14 of the Amplified Bible:
12 And God said, “Certainly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve and worship God at this mountain.”
13 Then Moses said to God, “Behold when I come to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers (ancestors) has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ What shall I say to them?” 14 God said to Moses, “I Am Who I Am”; and He said, “You shall say this to the Israelites, I Am has sent me to you.”
But, Tresca, what does I AM mean? I am glad you asked. God was saying to Moses, I AM who I AM and I will be who I will be. I will be whatever I need to be in every situation. I AM Self-Sufficient, I AM the Ultimate One, I AM Whenever, I AM Wherever, and I AM THE Almighty Powerful One! And, only our Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit can ever be defined as THE I AM.
We all go through difficult challenges in our lives. So today, I just want to remind you, “In the very eye of your storm, Our Father holds you tightly.” The eye is the focus of the hurricane, the point about which the rest of the storm rotates and where the lowest surface pressures are found in the storm. So stay focused and rest in His love, then the bands of turbulence around you will feel less impactful; why, because your eyes and focus are on Him.
In the center of the eye, you will also find Jesus:
- “I AM the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger or thirst.” (John 6:35)
- “I AM the light of the world.” (John 8:12)
- “I AM the door to enter into eternity.” (John 10:9)
- “I AM the true vine and you are my branches.” (John 15:1)
- “I AM the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” (John 10:11)
- “I AM the resurrection and the life.” (John 11:25)
- “I AM the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
I AM is and will be whatever you need Him to be. His love and grace are endless and so are His power and faithfulness. Just trust Him and believe what He says… I AM THAT I AM.
