IN HIM – WE FIND PURPOSE AND MEANING

IN HIM – WE FIND PURPOSE AND MEANING

For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the Kingdom of His beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption [because of His sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins [and the cancellation of sins’ penalty]. Colossians 1:13-14, Amplified Bible

From our last blogs, we discovered what we possess in our new home IN HIM (the heart of Jesus Christ):

  • Every one of our Needs is Supplied by Christ.
  • He cares for our Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual needs.
  • We are Safe and Secure in His Loving and Protective Arms.
  • We are Valued and Adored Unconditionally as if we were the only ones on earth.
  • We have Perfect Peace and Unity.
  • We are Loved Unconditionally; no strings attached!
  • We aren’t robots, so we have the Freedom to Choose… His Life or death.

There are thousands of things I have discovered In Him and this subject can go on and on to infinity. Jesus Christ is the Sum of All Things so there is no end to discovering everything there is In Him. For this reason, time is not enough to explore all there is; I am so glad we have eternity when we take off our earth-suit to truly get a true glimpse of His wonder and glory! For now, I want to share one more thing I have discovered In Christ… Purpose and Meaning for My Life.

In Psalm Chapter 8, Verses 3-9, our brother David asked the Lord a question, “What is man that You take so much time and care of him?” David couldn’t believe the God of the universe and creator or every living thing took such care and interest in human beings, mere mortals, as He did. What an Awesome scripture to reflect on! But greater still to come is the mystery being revealed in the ages to come.

In many scriptures, God, our Father, uses the metaphor of Him being the Potter and we are His clay.

We are His vessels in different shapes and sizes, but all of us are the same… cracked, broken, useless, pots not good for anything without our Lord. Before Jesus Christ came into our hearts, we were:

Dead

Lost

Confused

Sinful

Slaves

Hopeless

Hateful

Grasping for Life

Hideous

Our Father had a glorious purpose for His cracked, broken, and useless pots. He created them for Himself to LIVE IN! Paul saw this greater revelation of man in:

2 Corinthians 4:5-7 (Amplified Bible)

For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory and majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the face of Christ.

But we have this PRECIOUS TREASURE, THE LIFE OF THE GODHEAD, in [unworthy] earthen vessels [of human frailty] so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be [shown to be] from God [His sufficiency] and not from ourselves.

OUR TRUE PURPOSE AND MEANING FOR LIVING

Mankind was chosen to be a son, a vessel or container and, to allow the Godhead to express themselves, in and through him.

Mankind was NEVER created to be the centerpiece of his world…Jesus Christ was. But the beautiful thing is, he was created to be a participant in all His Father created and prepared for His Son, Jesus Christ. Whenever mankind looks at himself, the vessel, as being more important than the Life of Christ within Him or if mankind should ever take his eyes off the Life of Christ within Him, and relies on the flesh he is:

Fearful

Worried

Hateful

Insecure

Anxious

Striving

Struggling

Impatient

Doubtful

For we are His Workmanship [His own masterwork, a work of art], re-created In Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set] so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]. Ephesians 2:10 (Amplified)

As mankind embraces his human identity first as being just a weak and broken, cracked pot, hewn and fashioned by the hands of his loving Father, Abba (my Papa), then he can find His TRUE Purpose and Meaning of His Life, (the mystery hidden through the ages)… Christ Living in and through him our Father’s hope of revealing His glory to the world!
                                                        Colossians 1:27

Enjoy Christ, Enjoy Life!
