Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of mothers.

They are like the touches and kisses from Your sweet lips.

They are like the sweetness and gentleness of Your face,

And the strength of Your Amazing Grace!

Some of our mothers are gone home to be with You,

 So there is an emptiness still left in our hearts only you can heal and fill.

And in Your time and way I know You will.

Some of our mothers were loving, gentle, and kind,

While others left us longing, rejected, lost, which wasn’t Your design.

So Father, heal and restore the room of our hearts where our mothers once lived,

With Your joy, love, and laughter which only You can give.

For those of you whose mother is still alive with you on earth

I pray your day to be filled with love, laughter, joy, and peace,

And each moment spent together may it be sweet.

Always remember, mothers are only human and on a journey like you

To discover who they are and experience His Truth.

Forgiveness is a gift we must give to them each day

If they should stumble, stray, or lose their way.

I pray for all mothers on this blessed and wonderful day

May you experience the love and grace of our Father living in you, and through you, every moment of the day!
