A New Heart in a New Creation<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

This is the covenant that I will make with them<\/strong>
After those days, says the Lord:
I will imprint My laws upon their heart,
And on their mind, I will inscribe them [producing an inward change],\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

He then says,<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/strong>And their sins and their lawless acts<\/strong>
I will remember <\/strong>no more<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>[no longer holding their sins against them].\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n

Hebrews 10:16-17 (Amplified)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

As we recall from our last blog, because of Adam\u2019s disobedience,\u00a0sin<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0came into the world, and everyone was born\u00a0<\/span>dead<\/span><\/strong>\/sinners<\/strong>. Our Father once called His creation \u201cGood.\u201d<\/strong> He later repented.\u00a0<\/span>Genesis 6:5-8 in the Amplified Bible says,<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Lord saw that the wickedness (depravity) of man was great on the earth and that every imagination or intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

6<\/sup><\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>The Lord regretted that He had made mankind on the earth, and He was [deeply] grieved in His heart.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

7<\/sup><\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>So the Lord said, \u201cI will destroy (annihilate) mankind whom I have created from the surface of the earth\u2014not only man but the animals and the crawling things and the birds of the air\u2014because it [deeply] grieves Me [to see mankind\u2019s sin], and I regret that I have made them.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

8 <\/sup><\/em>But Noah found favor\u00a0and\u00a0<\/em>grace<\/strong> in the eyes of the\u00a0Lord.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Even though Our Father regretted He created mankind, the Bible said Noah found \u201cGrace in the Eyes of God.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Grace means he found\u00a0favor, pleasure, and kindness<\/em>\u00a0from God. Noah and his family were saved from the flood that destroyed the earth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the Old Testament, there are many stories of our Father reaching out to man to bring Him back to Himself. We read about the children of Israel, God\u2019s chosen people. He chose Moses to write His laws to guide and protect them from their enemies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Laws of God were impossible to keep, as we find in James Chapter 2:8-10,\u00a0Amplified\u00a0says,\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

8 <\/sup>If, however, you are [really] fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, \u201cYou shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, if you have an unselfish concern for others and do things for their benefit],\u201d you are doing well.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

9<\/sup><\/em>\u00a0But if you show partiality [prejudice, favoritism], you are committing sin and are convicted by the Law as offenders.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

10<\/sup>\u00a0For whoever keeps the whole Law but stumbles in\u00a0one point,<\/strong> he has become of [breaking] all of it.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The Law requires that if you keep 612 laws and break just\u00a0one\u00a0of them, you are\u00a0guilty of breaking them\u00a0ALL<\/strong>. So, you can see there was no way to please a Holy God. The Law of God, even though it was good, still left man guilty, helpless, and hopeless. So, sacrifices had to be made to wash over sin.<\/p>\n

Looking in the Mirror, The Law Leaves Man Guilty, Helpless, and Hopeless.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Old Sinful Heart<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

King David, a man after God\u2019s own heart, sinned continually. After committing adultery with Bathsheba, King David repented to God and prayed in\u00a0Psalm 51:10, two things:\u00a0<\/span>Create in me a\u00a0clean heart<\/u>\u00a0and renew a\u00a0right spirit<\/u>\u00a0within me.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Without a\u00a0clean heart<\/u><\/em>\u00a0and a\u00a0right spirit<\/u><\/em>, we would continue in our sinful folly.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jeremiah, a prophet of the Lord, saw the wickedness of man continually. God was constantly appealing to man to repent and return to Him. The Lord said through\u00a0Jeremiah, 17:9-10\u00a0Amplified.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

9 <\/sup><\/span><\/em>\u201cThe heart is deceitful above all things, and it is extremely sick; who can understand it fully and know its secret motives?<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a010<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>\u201cI, the Lord, search and examine the mind, I test the heart, to give to each man according to his ways, according to the results of his deeds.<\/span>\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

God desired a relationship with His people, but with a sinful heart, man would always disappoint Him in meeting His desires.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The New Holy Heart<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

God promised the children of Israel through the prophet Ezekiel something very magnificent! In Ezekiel 36:26-27<\/strong>,\u00a0Amplified<\/strong>\u00a0states.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

26 <\/sup><\/em>Moreover, <\/em>I will<\/strong> give you a <\/em>new heart<\/strong> and put <\/em>a new spirit within you<\/strong>, and <\/em>I will<\/strong> remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.\u00a0<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

2<\/sup><\/em>7 <\/sup><\/em>I will<\/strong> put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My ordinances and do them.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

God promised man a new heart and a new spirit <\/strong>because man could not achieve this feat on his own. In the first<\/span><\/strong> Adam, we were born dead with sinful and wicked hearts. However, in the last<\/strong> Adam, Jesus Christ, we were made alive and received a righteous and Holy heart.<\/strong> When we give our hearts and lives to Jesus Christ, the Bible calls us a\u00a0<\/span>NEW CREATURE<\/span><\/strong> and\u00a0<\/span>NEW CREATION<\/span><\/strong>! The Amplified Bible<\/strong> states:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

I Corinthians 15:45<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0– So, it is written [in Scripture], \u201cThe first man, Adam, became a \u201cLiving Soul,\u201d (an individual);\u201d the last Adam (Christ) became a\u00a0<\/em>life-giving spirit<\/strong>\u00a0[restoring the dead to life].<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 5:17<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0– Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior],\u00a0<\/em>he is<\/em>\u00a0a\u00a0<\/em>New<\/strong>\u00a0Creature<\/strong>\u00a0[reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold,\u00a0<\/em>new<\/strong>\u00a0things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a\u00a0<\/em>new<\/strong>\u00a0life].<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Looking in the Mirror of God\u2019s Grace, it Reflects the New Creature In Christ!<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

We never have to be ashamed or feel hopeless of looking in the mirror again! The old man with his sinful heart is gone; behold the New Creation of God abiding in the heart of God, Jesus Christ!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

We exchanged our old sinful heart for the NEW Heart of Christ because we are His NEW Creation!<\/em><\/p>\n
