\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n The Book of Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, verse eleven, has been on my heart for a few days. As I reflected on this scripture, I discovered the word \u2018world\u2019 written in the King James Version of the Bible instead of \u2018eternity.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n He hath made everything beautiful in his time; also he hath set the world <\/u>in their heart so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n In Hebrew, the word \u2018world\u2019 is\u00a0olam<\/em> which means, eternity, to veil from sight, conceal, and secret things.<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Our Father has set\u00a0eternity<\/em> in our hearts. He has hidden it from mankind; however, He longs for mankind to find its meaning and understand its purpose. We are on a lifelong quest to understand this mystery, void, emptiness, and darkness within our spirits. No wonder, in our desperation, we try everything to fill this void to make us feel complete. Just look around and see the things<\/em>\u00a0the world offers us to help fill the void. The world says:<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n This list can go on to infinity. But what if we obtain all the above\u00a0things?<\/em>\u00a0Will they fill\u00a0eternity<\/em>\u00a0dwelling within our hearts? Do you remember King Solomon, who shared his testimony in the book of Ecclesiastes? King Solomon was King David\u2019s son; he was the richest and wisest man who ever lived. According to the Bible and some scholars, his net worth was: 2 trillion dollars. King Solomon\u00a0ruled from 970 BC to 931 BC. During this time, he received 25 tons of gold for each of the 39 years of his reign, which would be worth billions of dollars in our time. Yet, in all of this, King Solomon came to this conclusion, \u201cAll is vanity and vexation to the soul. In the end, like a vapor, it will all pass away.\u201d<\/em> He left this world with an empty heart and soul<\/em>, never understanding the meaning of eternity<\/em> in his heart, though he had many wives and material riches.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Unlike King Solomon, I did not possess wealth or prominence, however, I felt\u00a0eternity<\/em>\u00a0deep within my heart. It was like a nagging toothache that would not go away. I tried everything I knew to fill it with little relief. But when I turned my heart to the ONE who made the heavens and the earth, I knew only He could fill it.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Even though I gave my heart to the Lord when I was eight years old, on July 26, 1979, was the beginning of my\u00a0 experiencing\u00a0 The Light<\/strong>, Jesus the Christ<\/strong>\u00a0 penetrate through my soul’s darkness.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n For God, who said, \u201cLet\u00a0light\u00a0shine out of darkness,\u201d is\u00a0the\u00a0One who has\u00a0shone\u00a0in\u00a0our\u00a0hearts\u00a0to give us\u00a0the\u00a0Light\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0knowledge of\u00a0the\u00a0glory\u00a0and\u00a0majesty of God [clearly revealed]\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0face of Christ. <\/em>2 Corinthians 4:6 AMP<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em>In <\/em>Him<\/strong> (Jesus Christ)<\/strong> was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men.\u00a05<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it, overpower it, appropriate it, or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].<\/em>\u00a0John 1:4-5 AMP<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n When I gave my heart and soul to Jesus, I did not fully understand His goal was to eradicate<\/em> the darkness in my life.<\/strong> You see, I was looking for something<\/em> to fill\u00a0eternity<\/em>\u00a0within me, but my Father had given me someone<\/em>, His Son, Jesus the Christ,\u00a0The Eternal Life.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Eternity-2.jpg\")
