I enjoy doing things like swimming, walking, biking, and being outdoors, which I can\u2019t do. Bobblehead <em>(combination of depression, obsessive tendencies, confusion, and babbling)<\/em> is what I get to experience each day, and guess what? No sunny days in the future forecast.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/?attachment_id=4574\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4574\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4574 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Storm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"624\" height=\"404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Storm.jpg 624w, https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Storm-300x194.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Storm-417x270.jpg 417w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So, what do I do when darkness seems to overwhelm me and I don\u2019t get any relief from my pain? I am so glad you asked; I don&#8217;t focus on my pain but I focus on my <strong>Amazing Lord, who is MY<\/strong>, whatever I need Him to be at the moment. Here are some examples:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The days I don\u2019t want to get out of bed but sleep all day\u2026 <strong>HE IS<\/strong> <strong>MY STRENGTH<\/strong> to get up, shower, then put on clothes to face another day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The days when I am overwhelmed with depression\u2026 <strong>HE<\/strong> <strong>IS<\/strong> <strong>MY HIDING PLACE. <\/strong>I turn <em>inwardly <\/em>to Him to snuggle,\u00a0 then I embrace His grace until I can get up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The days when my thoughts are racing from thing to thing and OCD seems to take over\u2026<strong>HE IS<\/strong> <strong>MY PEACE<\/strong> to quiet my racing thoughts and emotions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The days when sadness tries to lure me into its arms to be my comforter and friend\u2026<strong>HE IS MY JOY <\/strong>and <strong>LAUGHTER<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The days when my Lord empowers me: we cook, watch television, play games on my iPhone to keep my brain active, or listen to music as I lay in my Lord\u2019s arms. I also enjoy the Lord\u2019s love and grace through my husband as he cares for me and our home when I am unable to.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You see no matter what you and I are going through in our bodies, minds, or emotions, our Lord Jesus is right here <em>within us<\/em> and going through it with us! \u00a0We all face challenges in our lives and we can <em>grow<\/em> in our relationship with our Lord from them or allow them to <em>defeat<\/em> us. Our brother, King David, shared his experiences with us in the Psalms.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the Old Testament, our Lord describes King David as, <em>\u201cA Man After God\u2019s Own Heart.\u201d<\/em> Our brother, David, discovered <strong>THE LORD IS MY,<\/strong> in his own life. It was through times of failure, fear, disobedience, <em>weakness, and vulnerability,<\/em> David discovered this divine intimacy with his Lord. There are 143 verses in the Psalms where David shared how he discovered <strong>THE LORD IS MY<\/strong> in his life. Let\u2019s look at a few from the Amplified version of the Bible.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Psalm 18:2<\/strong> &#8211; The\u00a0Lord\u00a0IS MY ROCK, MY FORTRESS, and the one who rescues me;<br \/>MY GOD, MY ROCK AND STRENGTH in whom I trust\u00a0<em>and<\/em>\u00a0take refuge;<br \/>MY SHIELD, and the horn of MY SALVATION, MY HIGH TOWER\u2014MY STRONGHOLD.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Psalm 23:1<\/strong> &#8211; The Lord\u00a0IS MY SHEPHERD, I shall not want for anything (He is all I need).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Psalm 27:1<\/strong> -The\u00a0Lord\u00a0IS MY LIGHT AND MY SALVATION\u2014Whom shall I fear?<br \/>The\u00a0Lord\u00a0is the REFUGE AND FORTRESS OF MY LIFE\u2014Whom shall I dread?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Psalm 28:7<\/strong> &#8211; The\u00a0Lord\u00a0IS MY STRENGTH AND MY [impenetrable] SHIELD.<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Psalm 94:22 <\/strong>&#8211; But the\u00a0Lord\u00a0IS MY HIGH TOWER AND DEFENSE, and MY GOD THE ROCK OF MY REFUGE.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Psalm 118:6<\/strong> &#8211; The\u00a0Lord\u00a0IS on MY SIDE; I will not fear. What can [mere] man do to me?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/grace-whispers-the-lords-paradox-weakness-is-strength\/strength-in-weakness\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1150\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1150\" src=\"https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Strength-in-Weakness.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"554\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Strength-in-Weakness.jpg 554w, https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Strength-in-Weakness-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Strength-in-Weakness-361x270.jpg 361w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 554px) 100vw, 554px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 Corinthians 12:9-10<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>\u201cMy grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough\u2014always available\u2014regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [our] WEAKNESS.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my <b>WEAKNESSES<\/b>, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><sup>10\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>So I am well pleased with <strong>WEAKNESSES,<\/strong> with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; <strong>for when I am WEAK [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God\u2019s strength]. <\/strong>Amplified Bible<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>I SHALL BOAST OF MY WEAKNESS<br \/><\/strong>Copyright \u00a9 2005 by Tresca S.
