JESUS OUR PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who am I? Why am I here? Why was I created? For what purpose was I created? These are the questions of a searching heart. They are the questions that have been asked by mankind since the beginning of time. Man remains desperate to make sense of his world and the world around him. We look to the stars for our purpose. We look to nature for \u2018the why\u2019<\/em> of our existence. We look to each other trying to make sense of our existence, then we pacify our hearts, and we try to satisfy our souls by settling the question with external things<\/em>. We say, I was created to be a——- whatever our vocation is. We say, we were created to do —— whatever the task may be. Or we say, were created to fulfill —– whatever the plan may be. If it\u2019s not a vocation, a position, or a plan for our existence we turn our focus to each other. Our purpose is being a good ——, taking care of each other, pleasing each other, or making each other happy. I applaud you, for these are very noble causes; there\u2019s something still deeper than that. Finally, if none of the above satisfy our hearts and mind then we say, \u201cI know Tresca, I was created to serve and please God.\u201d What a wonderful and most sincere statement, yet, it comes short in fulfilling the REAL purpose for our existence and let me show you why.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Papa woke me up early this morning to write this blog. He whispered these words in my ears, \u2018For Him.\u2019<\/strong> Those two words set me on a path of discovery in His Word to look for the scriptures that will shed light on the two most powerful words in the universe. \u2018For Him\u2019<\/strong> can open the prison doors in our minds. These two words can quiet every fear, can set the galaxies of our universe back in order; just these two words, \u2018For Him.\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0 These two words, if we will allow them to come into the darkness of our minds, and seep through the crevices of our souls, will change us FOREVER, IF WE WILL LET THEM. Come, let me share with you the meaning of these two words. Colossians 1:16 in the Amplified version of the Bible reads:<\/p>\n

16\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>For\u00a0BY Him (Jesus Christ) ALL THINGS were created <\/u>in heaven and on earth, [things] visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; ALL THINGS were created<\/u>\u00a0and\u00a0exist through Him [that is, by His activity] and FOR HIM<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What does that really mean, Tresca? It means exactly what it says. The only reason<\/u> we were created, the only reason<\/u> we have breath in our lungs, the only reason<\/u> we walk upon planet earth is FOR HIM<\/strong>. We were created to satisfy and please the heart of Jesus,<\/strong> allowing Him to live His Life through us every second of the day.<\/em> If I am not sitting at His feet, learning to know His heart, seeking to know what He desires of me each moment of the day, then, I have wasted the whole purpose for my existence; we have believed \u2018The Lie.\u2019 \u2018The Lie\u2019<\/em> handed down from generation to generation was\u2026 life was about \u2018US.\u2019 Life was about getting a good job, making money, getting married, having children, having nice houses, driving fine cars, then retiring, and living the dream. \u201cWas that it?\u201d A young man came to me in his late twenties and asked. At 27, he had reached the pinnacle of his career; he made six figures on his job, married, had a brand new luxury home in the finest neighborhood and was becoming a workaholic trying to keep up the lifestyle he had built. He said to me with tears in his eyes, \u201cI have all of these things; all my wife and I need now is a baby.\u201d \u201cBut Tresca, is this it?\u201d My answer to him was, \u201cNo its not! But can I tell you why our Father created you?\u201d The man, replied, \u201cNo that\u2019s okay; maybe I will start doing volunteer work somewhere in the community to give my life purpose.\u201d With that said, he left my office, still disillusioned, and never returned to counseling. His heart was knocking at the door of eternity asking God, \u201cWho am I? Why am I here? Why do I exist?\u201d And, Jesus came to the door to answer his \u2018heart\u2019s cry\u2019 but his heart was\u00a0not open to His answer. I prayed for him when he left my office that day and for the many souls that sat on my couch searching for the answer to the \u2018heart cry\u2019 of their hearts. We tell each other the same lies over and over again, even though we are drowning in debt, have built the finest homes, possesses every car engineered by man, yet, we still pacify our souls\u2026. living life and having the dream is about \u2018US.\u2019\u00a0 Another scripture came to my heart as I was reading Colossians 1:16; its found in Revelation 4:9-11 in the King James version of the Bible:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

9\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>And when those beasts give glory and honor and thanks to him that sat on the throne who live for ever and ever,<\/em><\/p>\n

10\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that live for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,<\/em><\/p>\n

11\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou has created ALL THINGS, and FOR THY PLEASURE they are and were created.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

It is such a tragedy that man has made life all about him, when all of creation and heaven is worshipping only ONE, Jesus Christ. The angels know why they were created, the birds know why they were created, the beast of the field know why they were created, but when you ask man, why was he created\u2026 he points to himself or doing something for God.<\/p>\n

I pray that before we leave planet earth to live with Him forever, we meet face to face with Him, and spend time getting to know Him, the One whose house we will live in throughout eternity.<\/p>\n

Prayer: <\/strong>Lord Jesus, you are calling me, reaching out to me through this blog. You are trying desperately to let me know to leave behind the lies I hold dear. The Truth is, my purpose for life is YOUR PLEASURE. You created me for YOU, to know YOU, to love YOU, and greatest of all to be loved by YOU! I receive your love and life today. Please fulfill your heart\u2019s desires through me this day and forever. AMEN<\/p>\n
