JESUS THE SUPPLIER OF ALL OF OUR NEEDS<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As I reflected on our last blog concerning Jesus Our Author and Finisher of Faith, I remembered a beautiful devotional I read years ago called “The Supplied Life” by Bill Freeman. Brother Freeman had a daily reading called ‘A Full Scholarship.’ It fits perfectly with what we have been learning about our AMAZING LORD JESUS and the wonderful gift we have living inside of us<\/em>. I want to share it with you:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Being exposed to God\u2019s light is always a signal to us to once again draw our supply from Him. The Christian life is a life that has already been lived for us.<\/strong> And now this life that has already\u00a0been lived is continuously being supplied to us. The Greek word epichoregia (ejpicorhgiva) in the New Testament depicts the Christian life as a supplied life.<\/em> For example, Philippians 1:19 says, \u201cFor\u00a0<\/em>I know that this will turn out for my salvation through your prayer and the bountiful <\/em>supply <\/em>of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.\u201d <\/em>In the ancient Greek world, choregia was used to describe the person who was responsible for a chorus of singers or dancers. In brief, this person was responsible for supplying all the needs of all the members of the chorus. He was \u2018the supplier.\u2019<\/em> The Greek word meant that he was both a LEADER and a PROVIDER of all the needs of the chorus. Whether it was clothing, food, or money, he supplied everything; and he supplied it lavishly and abundantly, without rationing or restriction.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Today, this New Testament word for \u2018supply\u2019<\/em> can be likened to students who are at a university on full scholarships. They are very relaxed. They are free from anxiety about their needs. They do not have to work their way through school; they just receive all the benefits of their scholarships. All their practical needs are cared for. Their tuition is cared for. Their research needs are cared for. Everything is fully supplied. This is the thought behind the word epichoregia.<\/em> When the apostle Paul applied this word to the Christian life, he was conveying that everything in the Christian life is provided for<\/strong>. The normal Christian life<\/strong> is like being on a full spiritual scholarship with everything provided for us. Paul surely had this in mind when he declared in Ephesians 1:3, \u201cBlessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What can we say to our Father who knew exactly what we needed before we ever arrived on planet earth and made sure that the LIFE of His Son would meet every one of our needs? \u00a0We just say \u201cThank You!\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prayer<\/strong>: Thank you, Father! We can\u2019t thank you enough for being so gracious and kind to all of us who will never deserve such goodness. You have shown us your love and You supplied every one of our needs in spite of us, only because of You\u2026 that\u2019s just who you are, LOVING AND KIND.<\/p>\n
