I loved finding new places to hide from her in the house but my favorite place was the hallway closet. It was the place we kept all of our dirty clothes. So, if you can imagine, it was quite stinky in there! Guess what? That usually was the last place she\u2019d never look. I also loved playing <em>Hide and Seek<\/em> with my friends, at the playground, but it was difficult to hide in the open if there were no trees, so I hid behind cars.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/?attachment_id=4242\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4242\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4242\" src=\"https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Hide-and-Seek-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"532\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Hide-and-Seek-2.jpg 680w, https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Hide-and-Seek-2-300x235.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hispreciousgift.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Hide-and-Seek-2-345x270.jpg 345w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you think about it, we learned some valuable life skills as children playing <em>Hide and Seek<\/em>. We learned to:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be determined and not give up on whatever we are looking for.<\/li>\n<li>Be persistent and not give in to frustration.<\/li>\n<li>Be patient, whatever we are trying to attain is within our reach.<\/li>\n<li>To not be deceived by the voices in our heads that say, \u201cYou will not reach your goals.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>To trust that in time, all of our goals will be fulfilled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the Bible, the word <em>seek <\/em>means <em>to search out by any method or means<\/em>. It also means <em>to strive after, pursue, desire, endeavor, require and enquire.<\/em> Our brother, King David, said in Psalm 27:4:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>One thing I have asked of the\u00a0Lord, and that I will\u00a0<strong>seek:<\/strong> that I may dwell in the house of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0[in His presence] all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty [the delightful loveliness and majestic grandeur] of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0and to\u00a0meditate in His temple. (Amplified)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>King David had a strong pursuit, request, and desire from the Lord; can you hear the passion of his heart? Our Brother Paul had a very similar request of the Lord; hear his heart in Philippians 3:10:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And this, so<\/em><em>\u00a0that\u00a0<strong>I\u00a0may\u00a0know\u00a0Him<\/strong>\u00a0[experientially, becoming more thoroughly acquainted with\u00a0Him, understanding the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely] and [in\u00a0that\u00a0same way experience] the power of His resurrection [which overflows and\u00a0is active\u00a0in believers], and <strong>[that\u00a0I\u00a0may\u00a0share] the fellowship of His sufferings, by being\u00a0continually\u00a0conformed [inwardly\u00a0into His likeness even] to His death [dying as He did].<\/strong> (Amplified)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, some of us believe our Lord is hiding from us. The truth is, He doesn\u2019t play <em>Hide and Seek<\/em> with us. \u00a0He longs for us to discover the wonders of His person and the glorious riches of His grace and life. He has told us over and over again in His Word how to <strong>find Him and where He lives\u2026He lives <em>within<\/em> us.<\/strong> He longs for us to pursue, go after, and desire Him! As children, we have learned the skills we need to find Him but will we <strong>seek<\/strong> so that we will <strong>find Him and enjoy all the riches He has in store for us<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>SEEK AND YE SHALL FIND<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Copyright \u00a9 2005 by Tresca S.
