LOSING OUR PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the Sacred Journey Part 9, Soul\u2019s family came to rescue her, but she did not recognize them. They came in the disguise of perfume peddlers, selling the fragrances of Sacred Meadows. To draw the citizens of ‘The World\u2019 to them, they opened a vial of their most exquisite perfume called, The<\/em> Rose of Sharon.<\/em> Many people came to enjoy the fragrance as it permeated the marketplace, but only one man purchased four bottles. He was willing to pay the price for the perfume which gave him peace and life<\/em>. So excited and grateful, he welcomed the family into his home and shared his booth with them in the marketplace.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As the family finished their sales for the day, they were excited and disappointed. They saw only one of their family members, Soul. Flesh controlled and dictated her every move but they did not see Emotion, Thinker, or Will. Uncle Truth, Grace, and Spirit remained determined to find their family and move them into their house in \u2018The World\u2019 until they returned home to Sacred Meadows.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, as evening approached, Soul gathered her siblings together to tell them of her day in the marketplace. Before she could get a word out, Emotion grabbed her by the hand and said, \u201cSoul, I do not think I can make it one more day. I feel sad and defeated, I want to hide, I don\u2019t want to eat, I don\u2019t want to be around people, and I feel like what the use of living when I am not at peace and can\u2019t fulfill my purpose with you!<\/em>\u201d Then, Thinker interjected, \u201cSoul, I can\u2019t make my own decisions anymore without Flesh, Fear, Doubt, or Worry influencing my thoughts. I am bombarded by chaos, confusion, and I have no clarity in my thoughts. I feel like Emotion, what is the reason for living when I can\u2019t think my own thoughts and can\u2019t fulfill my purpose for why my Father created me!\u201d <\/em>Soul listened to her siblings as they pleaded to her for help. Will, looked away to Flesh, who stood in the door of the room listening to the siblings\u2019 conversation and said to his siblings, \u201cI can\u2019t stand listening to the two of you whining regarding your feelings and thoughts. Neither of you is appreciative of the life provided by Evil One, Flesh, and the rest of their family.\u201d He continued, \u201cYou have everything you could ever want or need in \u2018The World\u2019 and you complain your life have no purpose or meaning! Get over it! Follow the wise ones of \u2018The World,\u2019 they pretend and act as if things are going fine, even if they aren\u2019t.<\/em> Can\u2019t you two do that?\u201d Soul spoke up and said, \u201cListen to Will, Emotion, and Thinker. I do not know how to help either one of you; maybe we can read Flesh Guide for Managing Your Life<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>again. I am sure it will help.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And so they did. They read it each day and tried hard to change their emotions, thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs. However, the manual served only as a bandage; it did not get to the root cause of their problems, only masked over them. Underneath the smiles, the laughter, the facade, were siblings in pain, and dying daily at the core of who they were. They were losing their true purpose of why they were created and the intimate relationship they had with Soul.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

THE GIFT of PURPOSE<\/strong>: Emotion and Thinker are sick but Soul could not help them. Will, controlled by Flesh is not sensitive to the pains of depression and oppression his siblings are experiencing. Soul, ruled by Flesh, could only suggest using the tactics and strategies he taught her when they first arrived in \u2018The World.\u2019 Soul does not realize that covering over the problem is not resolving the problem.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Emotion and Thinker\u2019s purpose is to let us know when we are straying away from our Father’s Word and Truth. They are beacons within us, signaling us when darkness is approaching to deceive us away from our Father’s path. We must listen to them and not cover them or pretend that nothing is wrong. They are \u2018like\u2019 the warning lights in a car. If the oil or gas light is on and we say we will get to it later, we may pay an awful cost for not heeding their warnings. What have you been feeling or thinking? Are the feelings or thoughts influenced by Christ or Evil One?<\/p>\n

Prayer<\/strong>: Papa, thank you for our emotions and mind, created to experience your feelings and thoughts, their true purpose. Most of the time Father, when we are depressed or oppressed we do not bring these emotions or thoughts to you;\u00a0we listen to flesh, ‘The World,’ and evil one instead. Today, this moment, we yield to you, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit, and choose your thoughts and your purposes for the situations we face today. AMEN<\/p>\n
