On July 26, 2019, I celebrated 40 years of walking with my Lord Jesus Christ, My Father, and being taught by the Holy Spirit. I want to spend future blogs sharing with you things I have learned on my amazing journey of wonder and life!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Let me share one of the most important things the Lord taught me one day when I was stuck trying to figure out how to handle a very complex situation. As I was pondering which difficult choice to make, the Holy Spirit was speaking to me but I interrupted Him and quoted scripture. Then with gentleness, yet assertiveness, He whispered these words to my heart, \u201cTresca, The Humble, I will teach my ways.\u201d <\/em>In other words, Tresca, if you are going to learn the way I do things and handle life stresses, you must first humble yourself<\/em> to allow me to lead and guide you. Wow, I got off my high horse of pride and said, \u201cYes Lord!\u201d Then I waited to hear His heart and instructions. You know, I had never heard those words before so I searched the scriptures and guess what I found? Yes, you are right, here, they are found in Psalm 25 verse 9 in the Amplified Bible:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

He leads the humble<\/strong> in justice, and He teaches the humble His way<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

As I set out on His path to understand the heart of my Lord, I came across these scriptures in the Amplified version of the Bible:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Isaiah 55: 8<\/strong> – \u201cFor My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your\u00a0ways<\/strong>\u00a0My\u00a0ways<\/strong>,” declares the Lord.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Isaiah 55:9 –<\/strong> \u201cFor as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My\u00a0ways<\/strong>\u00a0higher than your\u00a0ways<\/strong>\u00a0and My thoughts<\/strong>\u00a0higher than your thoughts,\u201d says the Lord.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Psalm 95:10 \u2013 <\/strong>The Lord said about His people, \u201cFor forty years I was grieved\u00a0and\u00a0disgusted with that generation, and I said, \u2018They are a people who err in their heart, and they do not acknowledge\u00a0or\u00a0regard<\/strong> My\u00a0ways<\/strong>.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Proverbs 14:12<\/strong> \u2013 There is a way <\/strong>that seems right<\/strong> to a man but the end will lead to only death (emptiness, futility, and more stress).<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Did you get the last scripture? There is a way<\/strong> and there are ways<\/strong> or courses of life, decisions we make or choose to follow but are not necessarily the Lord\u2019s. They may start good, appear good, feel good, and to everyone else good, but the end will be wasted time, money, and resources. How many of us have fallen into that trap over and over again? I have a million times! And so have King David. In Psalm 25 verse 4, King David wrote these words to the Lord:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Let me know Your\u00a0ways<\/strong>, O\u00a0Lord; teach me Your paths<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

All through the Psalms as King David sinned and followed after his thoughts and ways, he cried out to the Lord, \u201cTeach me Lord your ways<\/em> because I don\u2019t know what I am doing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Over the years, I have learned to humble myself daily before my Lord. To humble myself means, I must admit to the Lord:<\/p>\n
