Sam and his little sister Monica sat on the stairs, holding and consoling each other. They were hungry, lonely, and afraid. They lived with their mother and father who were nowhere to be found. They were afraid to leave each other to get food even though the kitchen refrigerator was filled with their favorite foods and desserts. But neither one of them had the courage to go to the kitchen.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Brother comforting his baby sister<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Then, all of a sudden, they heard footsteps coming from the other room, and then with a flick of a switch, the lights came on. \u201cSweeties, what are you doing?\u201d Why are you sitting alone in the dark?\u201d their father asked. The children responded by hunching their shoulders. Father asked, \u201cDid you read my note? I stated because you were napping, I didn\u2019t want to disturb you so I left food on the table for your dinner and if you needed anything just come to the office to get me. Did you read it?\u201d asked their father?\u00a0 \u201cI also told you in my note your mother took a nap in the next room and she asked you awaken her if you needed anything; did you read my note?\u201d their father asked again. Then with his gentle arms, their father escorted both of them from the stairs and gently guided them into the kitchen where they enjoyed their favorite foods and desserts. Monica and Sam felt safe and all of their worries and fears just vanished away. Why do you think so? There is a beautiful message in this little story, did you figure it out?

Jesus came into our hearts and souls to be \u2018Light in our Darkness.\u2019 There are many times in our lives we don\u2019t understand, we feel lost, confused, and afraid, but we don\u2019t turn the light on<\/em> by turning to our Lord within us.<\/u> So we sit cuddled up with fear, worry, sadness, depression, or disappointment in the corner of our minds. Or worse than that, we take matters into our own hands by handling them in the flesh. If we would only turn to Him, we will see the love notes<\/em> of His love all around us. His love notes<\/em> of His still small voice. His love notes<\/em> in His word will always tell us where He is and what to do. His love notes<\/em> remind us we are never alone and just call to Him; He is always near, facing our circumstances with us<\/strong>. Even though we don\u2019t see Him with our natural eyes, the fact remains, HE IS AN EVER PRESENT LORD, ALWAYS PRAYING WITH US AND GUIDING US! How many times do we stumble around in the darkness trying to figure out the next course of action instead of turning to the Lord or asking, \u201cLord, how do you want us<\/strong> to handle this situation?\u201d<\/em> He always knows the best course of action and the Father\u2019s purposes in our lives because we don\u2019t. Here are a few scriptures which came to my heart that may shed light on our story.

<\/p>\n

John 1:9 <\/strong>(Amplified) – There it was – JESUS CHRIST THE TRUE LIGHT<\/strong> (the genuine, perfect, steadfast (Light) which comes into the world to enlighten everyone.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

John 1:5<\/strong> (Amplified) – The Light<\/strong> shines on in the darkness and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it, appropriate it or absorb it (and is unreceptive to it).<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 4:6<\/strong> (Amplified) – For God, who said, \u201cLet\u00a0light<\/strong>\u00a0shine<\/strong>\u00a0out of darkness,\u201d is the One who has shone in our hearts to GIVE US THE LIGHT<\/strong>\u00a0of the knowledge of the glory\u00a0and<\/em>\u00a0majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the face of Christ.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Psalm 36:9 <\/strong>(Amplified) – For with You (Lord)<\/em> is the fountain of life [the fountain of life-giving water]; In Your light we see light<\/strong>. (We gain clarity, understanding, and find rest for our minds)<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Jesus, came to not only give us light but to be OUR LIGHT<\/strong>. I love Him… My Light!<\/strong> I turn to Him every moment of the day when I don\u2019t understand what to do or how to handle the little things in life. He is so AMAZING! Whenever we turn to Him, His ways are always just PERFECT! Even when they may not appear to be that way. In a world filled with darkness, chaos, hatred, many voices competing for our attention, and fear; HE IS THE LIGHT THAT WILL NEVER GO OUT\u2026 NO NEVER!<\/p>\n

HE IS OUR LIGHT IN EVERY SITUATION\u2026<\/strong>WE NEVER HAVE TO WALK OR HIDE IN DARKNESS EVER AGAIN!<\/strong><\/p>\n
