IN HIM – OUR NEW ADDRESS Part 5

IN HIM – OUR NEW ADDRESS Part 5

For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the Kingdom of His Beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption [because of His sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins [and the cancellation of sins’ penalty]. Colossians 1:13-14 Amplified

From our last blogs, we discovered what we possess in our new home IN HIM (the heart of Jesus Christ):

  • Every one of our needs is supplied by Christ.
  • He cares for our emotional and spiritual needs.
  • We are safe and secure in His loving and protective arms.

Another one of our most intimate needs is to feel and know that we are valued and adored.  This word valued means to have worth, importance, cherished, appreciated, or prized. Adored means, to be loved deeply. Every human being longs to know that someone in their lives truly values them for who they are, and not for what they have, or what they can do for them. In our society, most people are valued because they have money, positions, titles, prestige, or talents. And those who don’t, usually are discounted as worth-less.  But, I am so glad our Lord and Father don’t measure us according to man’s standards but of one that is higher and nobler. They said, “Let us make mankind in OUR IMAGE.” We are our Father’s greatest achievement in the universe! We are greater than the angels, the majestic mountains, and even their universe…We are their Greatest Feat! Every human life is valued and adored by our Lord.

Today, let’s examine how IN Christ, He values and adores us individually as if we were the only ONE on earth. He holds us in very high esteem and calls us His Prized Possessions! Let’s look at a few scriptures which tell us what He thinks and feels about us.

He Values and Appreciates Us

“Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me when as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!” Psalm 139:16-17

“Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:28-29

“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:3-4

He Adores Us

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”  John 15:13

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!”   I John 3:1

“His banner over me is love.”  Song of Songs 2:4

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” I Chronicle 16:34

“The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”  Zephaniah 3:17

He Will Never Leave or Forsake Us

“For the Lord will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance.” Psalm 94:14

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

Rest assured, there is no one in heaven or earth who values and adores us more than our Father and Lord Jesus Christ! They long that we believe this fact, so we don’t have to strive to prove our worth and value to others and even them, because we are… valued and adored unconditionally by them.

Enjoy Christ and Enjoy Life!
